The U.S. Department of Energy Biological and Environmental Research program funds this site, May 19, 2006. This web site will provide you and your students with the tools to understand the Human Genome Project.  Furthermore, you may download "The Gene Gateway Workbook." The workbook includes a series of 5 lessons that introduce students to the various bioinformatic tools that scientists use.
