Benefits of Membership

1) Participate in useful, high-quality professional development workshops. this year the BTANJ presented several workshops for Biology teachers. Each October BTANJ members present a “Demo Den” at the NJ Science Convention.

BTANJ workshops will in cooperation with the NJ Science Teachers Association count towards the state mandated 100 hours in professional development every five years. Your membership fee covers participation in these workshops. No extra fee is charged.

2) Stay connected to other dedicated Biology professionals throughout the state though our newsletter and our website. Add to your professional repertoire through our share-a-thons and through our published lab activities.

How to Join

1) Download and print our membership form in Adobe .pdf format (requires that you download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader)

2) Complete the membership form and mail it along with a check for $20.00 (regular membership) or $10.00 (college students) to:

3) Stay connected through our AP Lifeline. Throughout the year AP Biology teachers gather in various locations to share tips on teaching the AP curriculum and preparing students for the AP exam. Getting Involved With the Executive Board
